The cannabis beverage category just got a new entrant, and it came from a BC micro.
Village Brands Inc., a BC-based micro with a growing national footprint, has quietly launched what is believed to be Canada's first multi-pack dissolvable cannabis beverage under their Flyte brand. Flyte Mix Sticx come in a 10-pack format — individual 10g powder sachets with 10mg of THC per stick. You simply dissolve it into whatever you're drinking. Water, juice, a mocktail, your morning smoothie. No bottle. No can. No refrigeration. Just a small stick that disappears into your drink.
What's on shelves

The two launch SKUs — Yuzu Lemonade and Forest Berry Fusion — hit BC, Alberta, and Ontario shelves this summer, with Manitoba and Saskatchewan expected to come online soon.
- Format: 10-pack of single-serve dissolvable sticks
- Per stick: 10g powder, 10mg THC
- Flavours: Yuzu Lemonade, Forest Berry Fusion
- Available in: BC, Alberta, Ontario — Manitoba and Saskatchewan to follow
Why the format matters
The format itself is worth paying attention to. Cannabis beverages in Canada have largely followed the RTD playbook: canned seltzers, shots, cold brew crossovers. Dissolvables exist, but single-serve sachets sold in a multipack are yet to be seen. Buying 10 sticks at a time changes the value proposition and the use occasion. You're not buying a drink. You're buying a pantry staple.
The timing might be right
Canadian consumers have been steadily shifting toward ready-to-consume, sessionable formats — beverages and edibles over traditional combustion. A dissolvable stick sidesteps the cold chain issues that have plagued canned beverage launches, and the 10-pack format gives operators a SKU that's small enough for impulse purchase but meaningful enough to merit shelf space.
We are looking forward to seeing how this new category progresses.
